Eat them fresh as a green vegetable or wait until they dry on the vine and shell to store and cook over the winter. Best planted once the soil has warmed.

65–80 days. Pole bean with deep purple 10” pods that stay tender and stringless despite their size. Continually produces throughout the season. Pods turn green when cooked, but will retain their purple color when lightly steamed. Rosy purple flowers. German heirloom. Resistant to tobacco mosaic virus.
