Iris, Japanese (Ice Cream)


Huge, flat iris blossoms. Native to Japanese and Siberian pond edges, so they require moisture, but will do well in gardens if watered regularly. Blooms about a month after bearded iris, from late June into early July. See a diagram showing the iris terms used here:
